When I was little, all I wanted was to be like the other kids — buying crisps, sweets, and fizzy drinks from the shop. But my dad had other plans. He never gave me money for junk food. Instead, he’d prepare bowls of fresh-cut fruit, salads with every meal, and homemade juices. Back then, I thought he was being unfair — I didn’t understand why he wouldn’t let me have what other kids had.

 

But as I grew older, something changed. I realised that what he gave me was far more valuable than a chocolate bar or a sugary drink — he gave me health, care, and long-term wellness. Now, I look back with deep gratitude.
